Hi, my name is John York and I am the high school science teacher at South Platte. I have been a "science geek" my whole life, having built my first home science lab in the 3rd grade. The majority of my experiments were directed at blowing things up.
After high school I attended UNL receiving a bachelor's of science degree, majoring in animal science. I also did 18 hours of graduate studies in animal physiology and finally earned a masters degree in secondary education.
My wife Sharon and I moved from Lincoln 9 years ago. We both really liked western Nebraska and decided that it was time to give it a try. The experience has been very good for us and I am very happy, and excited to be teaching at South Platte School. The community, administration and staff make the the job quite enjoyable.
If you need to reach me you may do so at the high school, 889-3622 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
