The South Platte Band is open to students in grades 9 through 12. Students in band are welcome to play percussion, brass and woodwind instruments.

The South Platte Band performs the national anthem at sporting events and performs for holiday events and concerts.

Band students are encouraged to audition for college honor bands and participate in MAC Music, and District Music Competitions.
