Today the South Platte Blue Knights were recognized for their outstanding sportsmanship through the Fall activity season. We received 3rd place among MAC schools as voted on by the students of each school.

Congratulations Maddi Cheleen! The Adams Bank & Trust Student of the Quarter. My name is Maddi Cheleen. I am the daughter of Jason and Andie Cheleen and I have one older brother, Ryan. My high school activities include Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Unified Bowling, National Honor Society, FFA, Knight Vision Leadership Committee, MAC Student Advisory Committee, Student Council, Science Olympiad and the Buddy Program. I also help coach the 3rd and 4th grade girls basketball team. My favorite class in school this year is being a teacher’s aide for elementary PE. Outside of school I am very involved in 4H and enjoy showing both cattle and sheep. The past two summers I have had the opportunity to play for the Nebraska Pride travel basketball team which I am very thankful for. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, shooting hoops, helping on the family farm and taking naps. My future plans are to attend Mid Plains Community College in North Platte to begin my major in K-12 Physical Education and play basketball.

Due to the extreme cold temperatures and potential for snow, South Platte Schools will have a 10am start on Monday, January 15th.

SCHEDULE UPDATE: The HS boys basketball game scheduled for Monday vs Bayard has been moved to TUESDAY at 430pm. The HS girls game vs Creek Valley on Tuesday will be played following the boys game.

1-12-24. 10am Start Friday lunch will be Salisbury Steak and Monday will be Grilled Cheese.

Due to road conditions and cold temperatures, South Platte Schools will have a 10am start on Friday, January 12.
