Attention Parents of 7-12 Students - On Wednesday, January 11, Tim Flick of the Nebraska State Patrol will present to our 7-12 students and staff on internet safety. If you do not want your student to participate in the assembly, please contact the high school office at (308) 889-3622 or email Mr. Brost at nbrost@southplatteschools.com. A brief description of the presentation from State Trooper Flick follows: “As far as information on the presentation, I cover a brief history of the Internet and what is it has become overtime. I talk about what a right is compared to what an expectation is in regards to the applicability of the Internet as well. Eventually the presentation will lead into discussion about what to do and what not to do, some outcomes of making the wrong choice when it comes to Internet usage, and how those choices can affect people later on in life. Including some information on human trafficking, and exploitation.“

K-6 students will be treated to a movie this afternoon at Julesburg. The movie we will watch is “How to Train Your Dragon”, students will leave the school at 12:30 and return before 3:30.

Congratulations Mrs. Sylvester! Her graduation at CSC was cancelled because of the weather, so we held an Impromptu ceremony for her at South Platte!
